OhioHealth’s Education Benefit
Pursuing your education while working is more affordable than ever at OhioHealth. You are eligible for these programs upon hire.
The education benefit pays for eligible expenses for approved programs of study at regionally or select nationally accredited institutions, related to positions at OhioHealth.
Eligibility for education benefits begins your first day of employment. The benefit amount paid is based on hours worked and role.
- Full-time associates (64 – 80 hours per pay period): Maximum benefit amount = $5,250 per year
- Part-time associates pursuing degrees in certain workforce critical roles (32 – 63 hours per pay period): Maximum benefit amount = $5,250 per year
- Part-time associates pursuing degrees not in workforce critical roles (32 – 63 hours per pay period): Maximum benefit amount = $3,000 per year
Education Coaching
Your OhioHealth education benefit includes free education coaching. Types of coaching sessions available:
- Benefit/Policy Details – (15 minutes) Learn about OhioHealth’s benefits, policies and procedures.
- Education/Career Goals – (30 Minutes) Discuss schools and programs that best fit your needs, and learn about other resources available to you.
- Financial – (30 Minutes) Get help applying for financial aid, comparing financial fit, researching available financing options, evaluating the cost of borrowing or understanding financial wellness.

Direct Pay Program
OhioHealth will directly pay for tuition upfront up to $5,250 per year to eligible associates at more than 50 preferred in-network colleges and universities.
Education Reimbursement Program
This program option provides for reimbursement of allowable expenses for degrees and certificates up to the program cap limit. Use this program if your selected major isn’t listed as a workforce-critical role AND you haven’t selected one of the 50+ in-network direct pay schools.
