OhioHealth’s comprehensive benefits and well-being resources focus on supporting your physical, emotional and overall well-being, giving you more ways to grow and protect your family.

Once a year, you have an opportunity to enroll in benefits or make changes to your existing choices. Even if you want to keep your same plans at the same coverage levels, there is action required if you want to continue certain benefits.

Explore to see all that OhioHealth has to offer. On this page, you’ll learn about annual benefits enrollment, including what’s new and changing. Look for a home mailer that also includes annual enrollment information. Then, schedule a phone appointment with a benefits counselor to answer questions and get help enrolling in Workday. (See details below.)

Don’t forget, if you miss this enrollment window, you won’t be able to make changes to your benefits until next year, unless you have a qualified life event or want to change your HSA or retirement contributions.

What’s new for 2022?

  • You (and your spouse, if applicable) need to complete the online confidential Health Assessment by November 30, 2021 to earn ALL medical plan discounts – $1,170 for associate only and $2,340 for associate + spouse. For more details, visit our Wellness-Screening page.
  • The OhioHealthy HDHP+HSA and PPO medical plan premiums are increasing, and you’ll see higher deductibles and maximum out-of-pocket amounts in 2022. These increases do not apply to the PPO Assist Plan. Those who contribute to the Health Savings Account (HSA) will see a reduction in the OhioHealth matching contribution.

    For the past few years, we have worked hard to maintain consistent levels of associate medical plan premiums, deductibles and out-of-pocket maximum cost with just slight increases being passed on to associates. The costs to fund the medical plan have increased substantially, driven by the rise in overall healthcare costs and member claims. OhioHealth will continue to pay most of the healthcare contributions and your Health Assessment discount earned in 2021 will help offset your contributions.

  • Vision coverage will include VSP PremierMaxTM, a program that offers savings when you elect to visit a VSP Premier Program location, and VSP LightcareTM, which allows you to select non-prescription sunglasses or blue light filtering glasses.
  • Express Scripts® will manage our prescription benefit with simple, stress-free ordering, prescriptions delivered to your door, and world-class customer support, 24/7.
  • We are moving from MDLIVE to Teladoc Health as our provider for virtual health visits and services.
  • Associate Voluntary Life Insurance premiums are moving to age-banded rates that may change the cost for some covered associates.
  • We are simplifying your Dependent Life Insurance options and giving you more flexibility with new coverage options in the Voluntary Spouse and Voluntary Child Life Insurance plans. If you had coverage in 2021, you will need to update your election(s) to keep the same level of coverage for 2022.
  • Wrap Coverage Change. The OhioHealthy Plan is taking a new approach to your wrap network coverage. Your wrap network coverage is switching from PHCS to MultiPlan, which includes Data iSight. This change is to lower costs when you or a dependent receive healthcare services outside of the OhioHealthy primary service area or are using a non-OhioHealthy Network provider, OhioHealthy is partnering with MultiPlan.
